Horses have captivated humans for centuries. They are elegant creatures with a powerful stature, dynamic speed, keen intelligence, and an ability to be so accurately sensitive and intuitive to human emotions. Over the last few decades, equine-assisted activities have become one of the most recognized recreational activities. Research has shown that engaging and partnering with horses in equine-related activities can have a significant positive effect on a human’s physical, mental and emotional health.
Southern Strides offers a variety of programs that allows our clients to interact with our herd on the ground and in the saddle. Our team consists of counselors, equine specialists, and instructors that can carefully construct a program and set of goals that are uniquely designed to meet the needs of our clients.

I have been going to Southern Strides for quite a while now. It has been great therapy for me both physically and emotionally. Being able to work with the horses is good therapy in more ways than one. They have an excellent staff to help you in many different ways. They have classes and clubs for adults and kids. They are also really involved with the community. This is a great place to go. I highly recommend going to Southern Strides and giving it a try. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Southern Strides is an AMAZING facility. Christina, the owner, has experience with horses and she has helped my daughter learn about horsemanship. My daughter has grown more confident around horses and that has transferred over to her real life in her interactions with family and peers. Want a beautiful place to go and be outside for a challenging and fun work out, Southern Strides is the place to go. Equestrian or not these ladies are wonderful at what they do , they make you feel like you belong. I loved every minute of this work out.
